Antisemitism means prejudice, hatred or discrimination against Jewish people because they are Jewish. Examples include believing negative stereotypes about Jewish people; blaming Jewish people as a group for society’s problems; denying or deliberately distorting the Holocaust; attacking someone because they are Jewish; or holding Jewish people collectively responsible for what Israel does.

Examples include believing negative stereotypes about Jewish people; blaming Jewish people as a group for society’s problems; denying or deliberately distorting the Holocaust; attacking someone because they are Jewish; or holding Jewish people collectively responsible for what Israel does.
Antisemitism has existed for centuries and has caused persecution, expulsions and massacres of Jewish communities. Its most extreme example was the Holocaust, in which Nazi Germany and its collaborators murdered around six million Jews.
Being Jewish, being Israeli and supporting the Israeli government are three different things.
